It is a legal and developmental initiative of the Albanian Government aiming to promote investments and revitalize the economic life in the mountainous areas of the country.

Eligible applicants:

First 500 applicants ("first come, first serve")

Incentive period:

10 years

Exemptions:
  • Infrastructure impact tax
  • Property tax
  • VAT
  • Income tax
Benefits for mountainous municipalities:

Municipalities in mountainous areas benefit:

  • Attraction of capital from domestic, foreign, and diaspora investments
  • Increase in employment
  • Increased demand for local agricultural and livestock products
  • Infrastructure development
